Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a can-shaped glass, fairly clear and a coppery orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface and a fair ring encircling the edge. Good lacing, with some webbed sheeting, lines and small spotting.
Smell - Malty, cereal or honey like sweetness with citrusy hops.
Taste - Follows the nose. Strong base of malty sweetness that hits on cereal grain and a kiss of honey. Hops impart a fair orange flavor with a trace of floral character. Balanced finish.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker from start to finish.
Overall - Solid pale. I wish there was a bit more hop presence to give it more strength of flavor, but overall its a nice, easy drinker.
