Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a can-shaped pint, crystal clear and pure gold in color. Thin, broken layer of suds cover the surface, with a a razor thin, broken ring around the outer edge. Lacing is fair, with some broken webbing, lines and a handful of spots.
Smell - Fruity aroma with mild tart and dank character mixed in. Lychee. Hint of peach.
Taste - Lychee is prominent, with a hint of peach and some underlying mild dankness. Hint of grapefruit as it reaches the finish. Very generic bready malt undertone. Mildly pithy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker with a crisp finish.
Overall - Solid, but I've never been huge on single hop brews, though they do showcase the hops, which is nice. This hop has potential. I'd love to see it used in more brews, and given a proper name.
