Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho, Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, stupid crystal clear and a brilliant golden hue with a thin, broken layer of suds and a razor thin ring of suds hugging the side. Not much for lacing, save a few broken lines and some small spotting.
Smell - Aroma is a mix of tropical fruitiness and green dank.
Taste - Starts off dank and stays prominent throughout, while hints of passionfruit, papaya and nondescript citrus rides beneath. Finishes much the way it starts, with dank riding stronger than the tropical notes.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Crisp, smooth drinker before a clean, dry finish.
Overall - This is a hell of a well made brew, but the dank profile just doesn't quite fit with my taste buds. It's still good, just not in my wheelhouse.
