Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, dark chocolate brown with a light tan ring of suds hugging the edge of the glass. Lacing is very minimal, with a few broken lines and a handful of small spots.
Smell - Aroma of milk chocolate, creamy vanilla and a hint of orange.
Taste - Really nice, blended trio of chocolate, vanilla and a tangy orange. Finish is that balanced trio with an added sense of melted ice cream.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, creamy texture with an easy finish.
Overall - I had some concern that this might not be good because it sounded like it had the potential to be way too sweet, but those worries were quickly wiped away with the very first sip.
