From tasting notes 3/1/22
Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, crystal clear and brilliant gold in color. An island of suds float the middle, while a consistent ring clings to the side. Strong lacing, with sheets, thick webbing, lines and small spotting.
Smell - Tangerine and grapefruit skin, light catty dank, guava, and some floral character.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tangerine and grapefruit that hits more on the bitter side, lesser guava fruitiness, a bit of earth dank and a firm, biscuisty malt undertone.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fairly lively carbonation, making this a slick, quick drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Nelson's fingerprints are all over this one, while mosaic character also has it's moments. Its an interesting drink, for sure.
