Bourbon Barrel Mean Vanilla Bean

Pours black with two fingers of khaki tan foam. Some oily legs on the glass after a swirl of the heavy liquid. Aroma is vanilla bean right out front. After this punchy sweetness, hearty roasty and toasty malts melt into bourbon and char. Fragments of molasses and brownie batter help develop some additional depth and oomph. Flavor profile is vanilla bean, but slightly less forward than the nose. Vanilla bean is present throughout, coming off as natural at the start, but turning towards slightly artificial at close. Roasty and toasty malts and bourbon barrel and oak develop depth, darkness, and smoothness. Tobacco shows up towards the finish, which contradicts the vanilla bean just enough to create an interesting dynamic, but not derail the vanilla bean. The 15% ABV remains well engrained within both the aroma and flavor profile, never letting the alcohol burn holes through the dense aroma and flavor profile. Mouth feel is thick with a still texture and very soft, minor effervescence. Overall, rich and full, this stout packs vanilla bean into the creavices of a bourbon barrel and serves with a slice of brownie. Wonderful depth.

Best vanilla based bourbon stout I've had. Very oak, bourbon forward with slight creamy vanilla tobacco on the back end. Very delicious!
