Look - Pours a clear golden color with a very nice head that sticks around for a few minutes.

Smell - A simple cherry scent that's not as sophisticated as some the cherry Belgian ales I've tried, but I guess as a Berliner Weisse it's not intended to be.

Taste - Also a relatively simple cherry flavor that lacks intensity I've gotten used to with Belgian cherry ales.

Feel - Feels light. Needs a tad more flavor or ABV.

Overall - Not a bad beer.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 8/2019. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy reddish/pinkish orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy red/black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy red/black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited Berliner weisse. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balance of juicy/jammy cherries and Lacto complexity; with a nice sized pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Mild residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example as expected.
