16 ounce prowler into pint glass, filled on 8/30/2019. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of toffee, nuttiness, roast, wood, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big orange, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of toffee, nuttiness, roast, wood, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown bread, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, roast, wood, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.7%. Overall this is a delicious amber ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Great Cascade profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly earthy hops; with a great balanced malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively spot on style example as expected.
