Pours black with no foam. It does have oily legs that cling to the top. Aroma is heavy roasty and toasty malts, followed by barrel and char. Vanilla bean cuts through, but without syrupy undertones. Caramel adds a little additional sweetness and depth. Flavor profile expands off of roasty and toasty malts. Barrel is less forward than the nose, though still present. Heavy vanilla bean syrup throughout. Not boozy, but definitely thick. Mouth feel is thick and full. Texture is slick, with thin effervescence / texture to the thick liquid. Overall, big and full with some huge vanilla bean mixed into it. Really heavy on the roasty and toasty side, showcasing a heavy base stout.
