Poured from draft into a pint glass was a dark brown body that looked cola-like, bubbly and brown, at the edges where light flowed through and floated a 1/2in head of creamy white foam leaving minimal spotted lacing.
Aroma was a strong roasted barley without any other pretense. Just an honest roast.
Flavors included both bitter coffee and cocoa under the roasted barley.
Mouthfeel was a lighter medium, not bubbly on the tongue, but good carbonation, and a clean finish.
Overall an honest porter is good to find.
