Got in a trade with Shanex. 330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 5/15/2021. Pours fairly hazy deep orange/copper/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of cocoa/roast, plum, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of cocoa/roast, plum, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery, roasted bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, cocoa/roast, plum, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering hop/roasted bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly chalky/resinous mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.2%. Overall this is a very nice amber ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Great rich dark/Munich malt complexity, balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Feels pretty English styled as expected on the yeast.

Brasserie Parisis "Bière Ambrée"
33 cl brown glass bottle, "À consommer de préférence avant: 14 05 20"
2.46€ @ Carrefour City Batignolles, Paris, FR
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a hazy dark russet brown body beneath a short head of creamy off-white foam. The aroma suggests cocoa, golden caramel, soft orchard fruits, and light toastiness. The flavor follows. It's cocoa-like, caramelish, bitter, fruity, and then dry and bitter in the finish with plenty of residual cocoa lingering for quite some time. I'd guess it's around 25-30 IBUs. There's also some citrusy and floral character in the finish which I can only assume is from hops. In the mouth it's medium in body and gently crisp. Looking back the head has dropped to just a standard collar but the lacing is quite nice, leaving broken sheets of solid lace across several areas of the glass.
