enjoyed at pmacs on stephen street lower, can’t believe i’ve never had this, although i do tend to avoid session ipa’s, this beer is fine, and good for the style, very peppery and herbal, fruity, light, light to medium bitterness, pleasant enough but nothing special

Lemon yellow colour, with intense hazy. White foam, huge, lazily decreases in volume, leaves no decoration.
Aroma very intense, strongly fruity, citrusy. It is fresh and very pleasant.
Taste slightly sweet and minimally sour with a pronounced but not at all high bitterness. Grapefruit bitterness, medium long, medium high.
Saturation high downwards. Texture smooth and creamy. Body medium upwards. Aftertaste medium long dry, background slightly acidic.

CAN
Hazy dark gold with rimming white. 4
Mouth-watering Seville orange and papaya. 4.25
Apricot jam on table water crackers then tangerine, mango, and limeade hops. 4
Light, crisp, oily. 4
Simcoe, Ekuanot, Citra, Mosaic
All the hops - for the strength, a killer. Just avoids being watery. Vermonty, in that it totally sacrifices IBUs, but at this ABV and body, that’s probably OK. Yet I still might prefer an integrated, fully realized beer like Jarl (again with the Jarl!) rather than a prove-a-point fruit smoothie like this. 4
2nd tasting, can, Mar 3, 2020:
Tarnished brass with pitted carpet of foam; fresh botanical + floral nose; passionfruit, grapefruit, eucalyptus, apricot pit, lemon balm; zesty finish + soft body.
Straight from the brewery, so expecting a fruit bomb. Surprising, then, how herbal this is - I suspect that's Ekuanot - and the Simcoe passionfruit verges on sour. I've had this be lush, so I'm wondering if it's batch to batch variation. There are some NEIPA esters + the body is soft, if a bit watery. Still, I can't help feel that there are loads of English beers that, even if simpler, get more out of this ABV.
