CAN
Soupy mahogany-amber under frothy ivory. 3.75
Chalk, lemon peel, underripe mango, and evergreen. Citrus oil as it warms 3.75
Thread of caramel, then burnt orange, papaya, tangerine, some apricot and honeydew. Hints of berry as it warms. 4
Long jagged bitterness.
Soft, salty, almost medium. 4
Amarillo, Columbus, Citra and Mosaic
A self-declared NEIPA, which means it must be judged as such. On the plus side, the fruit and haze and softness are there. On the minus, it’s too dark, too caramel, and too bitter (though probably not the listed 100 IBUs), esters are down in the mix, and while bits of Mosaic poke out as it opens to form some nuance, the whole thing couldn’t really be called super juicy. An underwhelming effort, but only because Whiplash usually hits nothing but home runs. 4
