Collaboration with Galway Bay Brewing. Pours a clear gold colour. Tropical and citrus hop dominant nose; passionfruit, mango nectar, and just lovely heady wet hops. Also a wee bit of citrusy spicy spruce tip. Decent carbonation for the 9%. A nice DIPA. Piney and a lil earthy funky hops, dense tropical piney hops, lingering piney dankness. Malty pale malts. Balanced.

On tap at Against the Grain, Dublin.
Bright amber-gold with steady cream. 4
Fruit punch Bubblicious. 4
Touch of toffee, giant mango, then lime, carambola, and melon; grassy dankness and herbal highlights to end. 4.25
Aspirin linger.
Light+, oily, round, hot. 4
Bitter! Has the anti-juice backlash begun? Tropical, overall, but with sparkles of other things at the end: finished with high, green notes. Too boozy and lean for 9%, but I’d give it a second chance in the can. 4
2nd tasting, can, 19 days from packaging: Dried tangerine peel nose that goes crazy zesty as it opens; toffee shortbread up front then lots of orange twist, spice, and cedar plus specks of herb and green mango with a numbing linger in a light, salty, smooth body.
Brighter the second time around - very old school Cali citrus zest - but pretty bitter, hot, and Burton-y. More Galway Bay than Whiplash. Tempted to bump the Aroma by .25, but last score is (sadly) pretty on target.
