i haven’t had a bipa in yonks, because, well, i don’t care for the style all that much if im being honest, but this is a good offering alright, very malty, chocolatey, the fruity and florally hop flavours don’t clash with the malt too much, the rye plays it’s part too, medium bodied, medium carbonation, pretty drinkable, enjoyable enough

CAN
Oily jet with tan; greasy orange rind + some ash; espresso, then pine sap, dank and orange rind; sweet finish.
4 4 3.75 4 3.75
Columbus, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial
Old skool C hops that could hit harder. Rye not noticeable. And why is there so much chocolate malt in a BIPA? Almost not really any defined style. Which would be fine - if this were a better beer.
2nd tasting, Mar 28, '23:
Puffy tan head over ruby brown; char + citrus oil nose; tangerine wedges, spruce, geraniums, and mocha; creamy.
Heard the rebrew was different, but this is the same beer. Impressed by the body, and the hop freshness is on point. But still don't see the point in a Rye BIPA without much rye or roast (though it does kinda work as an American Porter.)
