Copenhagen 30/11 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Simple white can with simple black writing on it. And some kind pf cassette with lurking dark figures approaching.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer and crawling up the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is fairly intense with a strong sweet odor of exotic fruit mingling with citric hops and tart notes. Sweet peach and pineapple. Hints of glue and milkshake. Lactose. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and citric and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Solid bitter and dry NEIPA from the west coast..... of Europe.

look: two finger white head which slowly dissipates to a thin layer of bubbles, beer is an ultra hazy straw to amber colour, some sediment rolling around the bottom of the glass, can just about make out some slow moving carbonation.
smell: lot of citrus fruit, pink grapefruit and orange, nicely sweet, bit of honey, caramel, dank, sort of an oaky smell to it to, nice enough anyway.
taste: this is an excellent ipa, light caramel malt flavours at first, then the rush of citrus fruit, lemon and orange and a lot of grapefruit, quite dank, nice bit of pine, medium bitterness on the finish, wonderfully balanced flavours, light fruit flavours linger after the finish.
feel: medium bodied, medium carbonation, really drinkable, oily, sticky, hides its strength totally, really refreshing, lingering bitterness on the back of the tongue.
overall: it has taken me way too long to get to these guys, but now i shall be buying many of their beers, this is a great beer.

CAN
Pure milk with crusty head; lemon chiffon, pineapple, a straight ganga thread, and herb oil; Nilla Wafers, sugared grapefruit, mint, orange oil, some dank + lemongrass end; smooth + creamy.
4 4.5 4.25 4 4
Citra, Vic Secret, Centennial
A month minus a day in the can. Smells the bomb + brings all sorts of fresh juice. It would be all glassy, shiny citrus until the Vic Secret comes in with all that menthol + stickiness. Less tropical than it was 2 weeks ago, or maybe that’s my imagination. Bouncy, fun + oh so drinkable.
More pure quality; can’t wait for these guys to open their new place.
2nd tasting, Aug 21, 2020: Pure milk; kronik, DH dried grass; grapefruit granata + huge ganga; silky.
Still a wrestling match between citrus + dank; still lovely.
2nd or 3rd nice brew in a row from Whiplash recently; hopefully they're working out the kinks of the new brewery.
