We’ve been planning and wanting to bang out Sky Burial for a good while now, and having our new kit dialled in was the perfect opportunity. All these new toys have meant we can push things further and further and this is no exception. This new IPA comes in at 6.4% and is a combination of our usual suspects of Maris Otter, Wheat & Oat malt with a heavy addition of El Dorado in our new special whirlpool then double dry hopped with Idaho 7 then Amarillo respectively. This banger is all peach, melon, citrus and apricots sloshing around in a creamy and fluffy body.

Pours a hazy light orange with soft, soapy head.
Smell is floral and crisp. Notes of grapefruit, peachm oranage and lemon candy.
Taste is citrusy and floral with notes of grapefruit, peach and some dank weediness in front of a soft, controlled bitterness. Well balanced and refreshing.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a nice, balanced IPA.

CAN
Glowing hazy pale orange; yellow Fruit Pastille nose; light citrus, some murk, papaya, and orange oil end; smooth.

Idaho 7, Amarillo
Nose doesn’t show for much. And while there’s some decent fruit, there’s also a heaviness that’s more pulp than dank - the rustic side of Idaho 7? - and also a whiff of heavy theols that’s so strong it plays like fusels/booze. The body is there, but I can’t believe this is the flavour they wanted. Out of sync.
Must try again on tap.
