CAN
Bright rusted gold with rimming white film. 4
Children's Bayer, pear + pineapple nose. 4
Bit of oatmeal, huge mango, apricot, tangerine, herb, slight cat + resin, and zesty end. 4.5
Creamy, no bitterness, medium. 4
Ekuanot, Strata
Huge tropical - the brightest Ekuanot I've seen + the gentle side of Strata.
Heat buried, NEIPA notes in place (if a bit clean + low ester) + well layered - I can even pick up strawberry if I try.
Bottom half of the pour (without rolling the can) has all the murk: fruit flavours get more citrus pulpy, almost Creamsicle.
More a “look, we’re not using Citra or Mosaic” exercise than aiming for some innovative flavour profile, it seems to me, and to good effect.
Best effort from them in a while. 4. 5
