330ml can. Collaboration with Honest Brew.
L: Cloudy, dark yellow with a fluffy head and spotty lacing.
S: Heady aroma of mango.
T: Diluted orange juice, dusty wheat, light bitterness.
F: Light body becoming a little thin.
O: Tropical fruit American-style pale ale. Pretty juicy but mouthfeel is disappointing. Dry but not especially bitter, so highly crushable.

CAN
Milky blonde with leggy white foam; canned pineapple + light dank nose; lemon zest, white grapefruit, donut peaches, a ribbon of underripe mango, + some pine; soft + tingly.
Citra, Columbus, Strata
collaboration with Honest Brew
4x5
I wouldn’t have thought a nuanced hop like Citra + a brute like Strata would play well together, especially with Columbus buffing up the pine notes. Maybe I’ve just not seen the tropical side of Strata enough.
Either way, this hits in waves + delivers more than you’d expect for a 5%. Commercial description says lychee; I could see that.
Bitterness threatens to move it out of pure NEIPA territory, but that’s no bad thing here.
I tend not to take Whiplash’s 330ml offerings as seriously for whatever reason, but this is a punchy little number.
