look: two finger frothy dense head with superb retention, beer is a straw to amber colour, totally opaque.

smell: lot of sweet fruit aroma, lemon, mango, orange, apricot, so much juicy sweet, juicy, fresh, quite dank as well, hint of pine, hint of white bread, caramel, inviting.

taste: massive, so much big juicy sweet fruit flavour, mango and orange and lemon and apricot, very floral, nicely dank but not as dank as the nose, little bit of resinous flavour, caramel, pine, light to medium bitterness on the finish, sweet fruit flavours linger, big big tasty beer.

feel: full bodied, light to medium carbonation, super smooth, thick, bit of alcohol warming, to be sipped of course but dangerously drinkable.

overall: very heavy going of course, but totally delicious and very impactful, a super fun beer here, more great stuff from whiplash, have two more of their beers in the fridge... yay

Not as flashy as some new hop bombs, but serious depth of flavour.
If I want to try to trace it, I can see the influence of all the breweries I know: a mini-juice bomb angle from Barrier, a overdose-on-1-hop trick from Garage (Amarillo, if I had to guess) + an overall quality execution from Whiplash.
Not a hint of 10%, NEIPA esters + silkiness there, blah, blah - all that is good to go. And easy + fun drinking to boot.

Maybe not the grand slam you’d expect, but aren’t super groups always like that?
