CAN
Hazy dark gold with white head that leaves nice lacing; cantaloupe, candied lemon + floral nose; bright citrus, donut peaches, hints of spice, potpourri, + melon; soft + lt-medium.
4 4 4 4 4
Centennial, Idaho 7, Enigma
Early March canning, so at 5 weeks old this should be in the lifecycle sweet spot for a NEIPA. Centennial plus Idaho 7 is gonna be some big bright citrus, and that’s what’s going on here. I’m looking for Enigma, which can be everything from rosehips to raspberry, and there is an acidity that could be berries, but it’s mostly just providing depth.
Some good complexity, but not the big juice bombs that made us love Whiplash.

look: two finger white head with excellent retention, beer is a super hazy light amber colour, tiny bit of sediment rolling around the glass.
smell: a fruity and floral bouquet, lots of tropical fruit, mango and passionfruit and papaya, lemon and orange, hint of marmalade, grassy, elderflower, white bread, smells nice.
taste: a nice beer for sure, super tropical, lot of mango and passionfruit, orange, orange pith, pink grapefruit, quite piney, grass, white bread, light to medium bitterness on the finish, sweet fruit flavours linger, rock solid.
feel: light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, silky smooth, super drinkable.
overall: another very solid ipa from the best irish brewery, nice relaxing beer at the end of the week.
