nice witbier here, hazy straw colour with big fluffy white head with good retention, nice lemon and orange flavours, orange peel, vanilla fudge, nicely sweet, quite herbal and floral, mild bitterness, mild pine, super smooth and creamy, very drinkable, light bodied, medium carbonation, a most pleasant beer

CAN
White gold with fluffy white head; Lemon Pledge on the nose with some lemon balm, bubblegum + white pepper; doughy wheat up front, bit hit of lemon zest, some peach + tropical Bubblicious, slightest herb; creamy, light, fluffy, round.

Amarillo
Nose promises + taste delivers. Some unconventional choices for a wit but they work: lemon zest steps lighter than curacao would, skipping the coriander keeps it refreshed, and Amarillo is the right hop for citrus and nothing but.
If there’s a flaw, it’s that it ends weakly: I’d like either some phenols or a hint of hop pine to clean up the finish so I’m craving that next sip.
But that’s quibbling; this is zippy, quenching and fun. I’d gladly drink it all summer.
A true modern wit + perhaps Whipash’s first non-IPA to achieve real greatness.
