CAN
Platinum blonde with rimming steady white head; cracker and juicy gooseberry nose; Saltines, honeydew, kiwi + lime, maybe some pear, a light hit of sulfur, and grassy end; clean, soft, light.

Nelson Sauvin, Motueka
This is a little Nelson party: the most bouncy, expressive example of the hop I’ve tasted since Punk about three recipe changes ago.
That’s a blessing and a curse because, while it’s a lot of fun, the NS stomps on the Motueka, any esters, and pretty much anything else that would make this a Kolsch.
It’s also not bitter enough, the water isn’t chalky enough, and it doesn’t finish snappy enough for Koln.
So you’re left with a very summery, fruity IPL.
Tasty + quaffable, but would you know it was Kolsch if it didn’t say so on the can?
