Copenhagen 3/5 2022. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Whiplash’ characteristic white can with a long list of ingredients and a little collage of pictures including some of a lady with a weird hat.
Pours opaque golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, fermented odor of tropical fruits mingling with a thin citric scent. Fermented mango and peach. A bit boozy. Citrus and lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a bit boozy. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and fermented.
DIPA with a sweet and boozy demeanor despite a manageable ABV.

Nelson Sauvin, Strata
Harsh + almost meaty. No sense of Nelson. Rough all around the edges. Maybe time would calm this but less than promised in the first month.
