CAN
Tawny gold with proud, puffy ecru head that rims; rich honeyed country loaf nose with some spice; bread dough, hints of toast, bits of white grape + citrus zest to end along with Noble hits; smooth, round,

Bruce Blend
I was all ready to slam this because a traditional, nay, endangered old world style like Vienna should not mix with New World hops, never mind a hop blend.
Sure, Bruce has understated players like Fuggles-descended Southern Cross and Hallertau-esque Pacifica but it’s also got bangers like Nelson Sauvin and the lime bomb that is Moteuka.
So it’s a surprise that all this rich malty breadiness comes through. The hops, when they show, are specks of brightness - seasoning more than base flavour.
A well-judged experiment + a good food beer.
Pairs well with Christmas turkey.
