Hazy dirty blonde with stack of creamy white froth that sticks around; hop pellet nose that opens into gooseberry, grapefruit peel + underripe melon; Cream of Wheat with salt, white grapefruit, underripe pineapple, donut peaches, white grape + lemon balm; creamy, oily, salty, soft.

Nelson Sauvin, Citra
Pairing a delicate hop like Nelson with Citra makes me expect something light and bright.
Sure enough, there’s no pulpy tropical, or juice at all, really - just tart melony top notes over lean citrus along with the usual stone fruit esters. Small bits of sweaty dank emerge as it opens to give this a bottom end.
However, the lack of any sweet fruit or malts, combined with the salty water chemistry and surprising bitterness, makes this tough to love.
A punchy dose of acidic yellow fruit - how much fun that sounds like maps to what you’ll think of this beer.
