Platinum blonde with loose, fast-fading white froth; tin + flowers on the nose; touch of grain, sweet corniness, then flowers + a bit of pepper to finish; clean, light, soft.

Tough to have much to say about a beer style that doesn’t have much to say.
It’s got the light grain, adjunct sugar, and barely-there hops of the style.
But it’s also not light enough, not fizzy enough, and ends almost as floral as a Helles. And that would all be problematic if this was just an American Lager, but it’s a Light? Yeah, it’s just too much beer. Almost closer to a cream ale or a blonde.
Maybe a hipster collab is the wrong time to be a style purist, but I got no time for “then we punched up the flavours…” If you say you’re a thing, be that thing.
Light lager needs to drink like water; this doesn’t.
