Clingy carpet of snowy froth over hazy sunshine yellow; pineapple, Creamsickle, and melon on the nose; grapefruit sorbet, tangerine, slight apricot + passionfruit, a hint of vanilla, cantaloupe, and a touch of dank; creamy, salty, slight bitterness.

Amarillo, Chinook, Simcoe and Mosaic
Whiplash-brewed version of the collab with Wylam
That hop bill suggests a sledgehammer of lupulin, so it shows the skill of the brewers how balanced this is: plenty of bright Amarillo citrus, restrained Simcoe tropical, and only hints of sweaty Mosaic dank. It’s all bumped up by a thread of vanilla - I wonder if they’re using a strain similar to Verdant that’s throwing esters that happily skew the fruit towards ice cream.
The real achievement here, though, is the mouthfeel, which is pure pillow. It makes you want to quaff at an unwise pace for the ABV.
These Wylam-Whiplash collabs have been a notch above, and this one doesn’t disappoint.
