In collaboration with our Copenhagen pals, Gamma Brewing Co.!
We got our hands on brand new HBC1019 hops from Barth Haas X for this collab, a hop so new it doesn't even have a name yet.
Brewed with Loughran's IPA Malt, it's a super fluffy NEIPA, with tons of fruity notes and touch of coconut.

Slightly hazy straw with a puffy loose white head; rotting lemon, coconut + passionfruit nose; banana, coconut meat, lemon sorbet, white peaches, and a grassy end; soft, light, round.

This appears to be showcasing a single, new hop + I can understand why.
It’s a candied tropical fest, with as much coconut as Sabro or Talus, but with pineapple juice, Bananas Foster, and Lemonhedz thrown on top.
Depending on how you feel about those flavours, that makes this either the Pina Colada beer analog you’ve been waiting for, or too close to drinking suntan lotion.
I’d be curious to know how it’d line up as one of Whiplash’s fuller, more hazy executions - right now there’s not much beyond some vague stone fruit to make you call this a NEIPA.
Otherwise, does a perfect job of being what it wants to be.
A beer for drinking on Caribbean cruise liners.
