A new IPA, in collaboration with Fresh Cuts Dublin and artist Shane O’Driscoll. Built on a silky soft base of oats and wheat, Fresh Cuts is then loaded with Simcoe, Chinook and Mosaic. Notes of peach, apricot and mango backed up with a piney, grapefruit backbone.

Milky goldenrod with leggy white head; cantaloupe, pineapple + tangerine on the nose; mandarin, passionfruit, melon, a bit of dank, overripe apricot, and pine; smooth, slightly bitter, medium.

June 11, ‘24 BBD - if they do 6 month shelf life, that makes this 5 weeks old.
Despite that freshness, there’s disappointingly little to say about this because it is a thoroughly average NEIPA by any standard.
Simcoe + Mosaic bring tropical, but it's a day-old fruit salad, not juice. Chinook lends dank, but it’s musty cellar not tasty kindbud. The esters are fruit compote, not straight from the orchard.
It’s technically lined up - there’s the soft body + salty water to go with the yeast character - but it’s just dull, heavy, and not much fun.
Not bad, just boring which - coming from Whiplash - is almost worse.
Cut more than fresh.
