CAN
Milky goldenrod with a steady, rimming carpet of white mousse; grapefruit sorbet on the nose with lemon balm, dried mango, candied pineapple, and fruit punch; Ryvita, lemon rind, a hit of pepper, nectarines, bits of passionfruit + papaya, whiff of diesel, lime zest, some twig, and dank, piney finish; creamy, medium, slight warmth.

Azacca, Galaxy, Motueka
Smells magnificent - there’s a subtle waltz of all the fruits that the hops bring: Galaxy tropical, Motueka citrus + Azacca candy.
However, it can’t quite balance the flavours: pithy bite is jarring early on, Galaxy’s tendency to overplay sneaks through in sly sweaty bits, and Azacca pine and grass expresses like over dry-hopping on the finish.
The body is smooth, there are fun specks of orchard fruit esters throughout, and it brings a lot to the table at just an IPA strength.
This just doesn’t feel like quite the execution Whiplash hoped for.
Their best new NEIPA in a while, but reach exceeds grasp.
