Juicy and hazy Pale Ale with bright assertive pineapple dank of lupulin enriched Strata along with the passionfruit of Galaxy. Creamy body rounded off by a lingering and smooth bitterness.

Hazy tarnished bronze under a rimming white cap; passionfruit, pineapple, tangerine and flowers on the nose; Berocca, mango, a thread of dank, vague red berries, and a piney end; light, smooth, slightly oily.

Been a while since there’s been a straight up 5% APA from these guys.
That’s interesting because they cram more character into a small package than you usually see: Strata musty cellar and bright currants, yes, but also restrained Galaxy tropical + a full range of citrus.
They’re continuing to forgo pale malt in favor of pils+oats+wheat, which is only half working: what they gain in smoothness they lose in overall body. The hop interplay doesn’t have enough of a malt base to fully express itself. It feels insubstantial rather than crisp and drinkable.
It adds up to an interesting, easy sipping, yet somehow unsatisfying summery hop hit.
Nice for the ABV, but not essential drinking.
