Named after a track from Sunny Day Real Estate's debut 1994 album "Diary."
Dipping a toe into a more West Coast feel, In Circles has a big hit of Tangerine and Grapefruit Pith being backed up by the resinous side of Azacca.
Citra and Strata play a supporting role in bringing a juicy body with Lemon, ruby Grapefruit & Passionfruit, which melds nicely with the vanishing bitterness. The use of Flaked Maize really helping to bring a vibrant pale orange glow to this 6.8% Hazy IPA that will stand out in the early winter nights.

Milky goldenrod with rimming stiff white froth; tangerine nose with hints of mango, cantaloupe and lemon peel; Nilla wafers, fresh cut orange wedges shifting into grapefruit, a hint of dank, bits of canary melon, pineapple, and passionfruit, weedy end; round, light, bit oily.

“Dipping a toe into a more West Coast feel” sez the comm desc, and I can certainly see that: C hop-esque citrus leads, the body is not pillowy at all - what wheat + oats gives, maize takes away - and there are no London III esters that I can find.
But it’s by no stretch crisp, the malts are biscuit rather than caramel and it’s 11 IBUs, which is less than a Helles. So you’ve really just got a soft glass of fruit juice (and the odd pop of hop burn) - misses the resin of heavyweight C hops where it could really use it.
Pleasant, too easy-drinking + underhopped for the ABV, and not really anything I can find a reason to get excited about. I’d love it in the summer, maybe, but in December…?
It’s like it’s so much trying to be all things to all people - hoppy but approachable, hazy but West Coast, full strength but quaffable - that it’s just stripped of character.

Couldn’t pick it out of a lineup, which didn’t used to be the case with Whiplash.
