"Whiplash getting another brew in with our best pals from Cornwall and on home turf too! We were both in the mood for a big chonky pale. Here's a big chonky pale.
This one has a base of continental pils malt for that extra pale colour amongst the murk with plenty of wheat, oats, carapils and a special lashing of Flaked Maize for that BEAUTIFUL orange glow.
Hops on this one is a big dirty lashing of Simcoe, Strata and another return of our new favourite hop it seems in Nectaron.
Consensus of tasting notes from the team here? An easy drinking Pale stuffed full of Blueberry, Crisp Elderflower, Pineapple & mountains of dank Strawberries. It's pretty round, full and juicy for a 4.8% sessioner. "

440 ml can, as Whiplash / Verdant Melted Head Pale Ale, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Milky pale yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of various tropical fruits, a hint of elderflowers. Flavour of citrus and tropical fruits, moderate bitterness. Enjoyable.

Milky blonde with pitted steady snow white head that rims; lemon sorbet, candied pineapple + white melon on the nose; grapefruit, bit of cat, white grape, underripe nectarine, passionfruit and dank end; soft, medium, smooth.
Simcoe, Strata, Nectaron

Shifty little number: the lush tropical hinted at by the nose is interrupted by spiky little bits of Simcoe pine + Mosaic-y sweat sock as it goes.
It’s not the biggest bowl of fruit, but it’s sure got a lot of punch for under 5%. Add a pillowy NEIPA body (especially considered + clean finish and you could session this for a night.
Lovely, but again gotta wonder if Verdant is the smartest guy in the room on this.
Big things in small packages.
