This IPA shines with Nelson Sauvin's Sauvignon Blanc grape, gooseberries, and fresh-cut grass, balanced by juicy mango and passionfruit. Apricot and strawberry follow, wrapped in a light, airy body with a soft, balanced sweetness.

Milky goldenrod with steady, rimming tight snowy head; grapefruit granata, basil, honeydew, + slight dank on the nose; biscuit, fresh apricot, mandarin, pineapple, white grape, menthol; soft, light, round.

Nelson Sauvin, Vic Secret, Citra
The first Whiplash NEIPA in ages to look the part in the glass, not just hazy but (properly) opaque. The nose follows through with a speckle of light herbal notes and a whiff of diesel danger.
On the palate this dance plays out with Nelson + Citra showing their lighter, fruity sides only to have Vic Secret resin + NS sweatsock drop in at the end. It’s a dramatic shift that doesn’t completely land, but it’s fun to watch.
The trouble comes with the body: so NEIPA-pillowy that it’s lighter than a cloud - too light for both the hop complexity and the ABV; it sips like an APA.
How much this ruins it is a matter of taste. You may find yourself chugging it only to be stopped by a dank blast to finish. Either way, it’s nice to see WL doing what they do well, even if it’s not their best - does that make any sense.
Overdelivers for flavour, underdelivers for body.
