A juicy, hazy IPA pouring opaque light gold with a soft, fluffy head. Expect bright bursts of lemon rind, mango, pineapple, and a hint of herbal freshness on the nose. Medium-bodied with a light malt sweetness and airy texture from loads of wheat malt. Packed with BRU-1 pineapple punch and noble-like Motueka zing. Refreshing as hell.

Hazy dirty blonde with lumpy rimming off white head; pineapple chunks, slight ganga, basil + lime curd on the nose; grapefruit Pellegrino, more fresh pineapple chunks, Bartlett pear, slight gooseberry, green Pixie sticks and a touch of grass; light, soft, smooth.

Citra, Motueka, BRU-1
First time in a while that a Whiplash has truly expressed all the hops in mix. And it plays a neat trick with them: Citra steps back to play its delicate lychee-and-honeydew side, letting Motueka bring its herbal nuances and BRU-1 drops in with all that pineapple + a bit of grass.
Bright but nuanced fruit that hits in waves, wrapped in a smooth, drinkable body that’s maybe a bit too light, but this is IPA strength.
And that’s what is bumping up the score: there have been some Whiplash DIPAs lately that didn’t deliver this much flavour.
Not strictly NEIPA in esters or pillowy mouthfeel, but brings the lupulin. And it’s crazy quaffable, with a Lilt-like moreishness.
Best IPA from them in a long while.
