Keeping things a little bit lighter this time with a combo of Idaho 7 T90 & Strata CGX, two of my favourite varieties/formats of the year. Idaho 7 laying down a blanket of overripe pineapple & Nectarine to support the passionfruit dropped by the strata.

Milky brass with a loose, puffy off white head that crusts; lemon zest, peach cobbler, bread starter and strawberry nose; biscuit, lemon granata, nectarine, more strawberry, lemon balm, and touches of mango + grass; silky, lt-med, round.
Idaho 7, Strata

Wow, OK! Two hops that can be brutes - catty, dank, and wild - done with surgical grace and precision.
The first clue is the bouquet of Strata strawberry, subtle but definite, which fortunately carries over to the taste. There is finds company with the more delicate, tropical side of I7 and a selection of esters.
The only danger here is that it’s too restrained, but Whiplash packages this at IPA, not DIPA, strength. With oat + wheats as buffers, it still goes down dangerously smooth.
A fluffy little winter blanket of sunshine.
WL still got a trick or two up their sleeve.
