Power Play is a reboot of Ides #57, from January of 2021, and was inspired by the first table hockey set. The 1932 holiday season was marred by difficult financial times, but a resourceful Ontarian named Donald Munro made his kids holiday extra special, using some clothes pins, wire hangers, clock springs and scrap wood. His table hockey invention was a hit and was added to the Eaton’s catalogue within a few years. The beer it inspired, Power Play, is the perfect hockey beer - table or ice - as it's light coming in at 3.5% and refreshing with a lively carbonation.
