First brewed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rush's iconic album Moving Pictures, we're thrilled to bring back the beer inspired by the legendary sounds of that five-time Platinum-selling record.

This Belgian Dark Strong Ale with Riesling Must pours a gorgeous deep, ruby colour with a fine, tan head.

The taste is complex, with notes of dark fruit pudding, toffee, dates, cherries, honey, bread crusts and a slight booziness.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a pink tinted yellowish orange color with a bit of haze and a small head of one finger height white foam. The head fades quite quickly, leainvg a touch of fizzy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is bready and yeasty with a bit of a pretzel smell mixed with some notes of pepper and orange citrus. Along with these smells comes some banana, cherry, and plum and a somewhat musty and stale smell, with a strong showing of white grape must and some wheat. Other aromas of a light coriander and clove and a bit of wood are there as well, mixing with a touch of lemon and lime. Very odd smelling overall. Not sure I like it or hate it…
Taste -The taste does not follow the nose as close I would have thought it would. It does start out with a mix of cracker malt and some bread along with big flavors of banana and some orange, cherry, and plum sweetness. The clove and coriander are more pronounced in the taste, and are joined by some light bubblegum and pepper. As the taste advances the breadiness fades a touch, all while the sweet gets more intense. Some light herbal and floral flavors develop as well, all while notes of must and hay come along for the ride. All throughout, there is a moderate showing of a white wine like flavor, which with the rest of the tastes. A little bit of the alcohol also becomes prevalent, warming the tastebuds, in the end leaving one with a moderately sweet, decently bready, and somewhat lightly hopped wine like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the brew is very light for a 11.5 % abv beer while the carbonation is quite high and prickly. For the style and the flavors the feel is quite well done, making for a nice triple like/Belgium strong like taste to linger on the tongue.
Overall – A rather interesting brew, with an odd but nice flavor profile. Well worth a try at least.
