my first beer ever from these guys, decent if somewhat samey ipa here, high juiciness, low bitterness for one thats more on the clear side, not a true west coast style then but in that vein i suppose, very dry hoppy and quite bright, a bit sweet. a honey colored brew, short head on it, maybe slightly less carbonated than it could be. neat aroma, i think my favorite part of this, fresh sliced orange, juicy and sweet but also with some rindy bitterness and oily character, somewhat weedy without overt dankness in the traditional sense, lesser wrinkles of apricot, mango, and canned pineapple, maybe some grapefruit as it warms a bit. for being on the pale side there is nice balance in the flavor, some of that is the residual sweetness no doubt, but its nice with these hops, which again lean orange forward with tropical support to me, some honey character to me, a little resinous pine, nice and fresh, a little something in the ferment, not quite out of place on the palate really but maybe unexpected in an ipa probably trying to be clean, minor distraction at worst. slightly increasing bitterness later on but low overall as these go, medium bodied and long with the sweetness, plenty of room for the hops to go citrus to tropical to stone fruit and back again, i like the hop profile here, even if on its own its familiar, with the rest of the attributes of the beer i think it has enough uniqueness to stand out, good and fresh when i had it. a fine introduction to this operation, will be on the lookout for more from them when i am back in the fine state of nevada.

7/4/25 - (Draft - Lovelady Taproom) (Henderson, Nevada) Brewery Notes: $7.59 with tax, 16 oz draft pour, 6.7% ABV, 50 IBUs. West Coast IPA.
Appearance: 16 oz poured into a tulip glass yields a crystal clear yellow golden base, negligible carbonation after initial burst. Bright white head leaves generous razor thin lacing and cover over the base. 4.0
Aroma: Solid pine dank citrus bitter aroma, bold and beautiful. 4.5
Taste: Consistent with the aroma, though a little dialed back in terms of strength. Pine and dank leads, light but nice citrus and tangerine backs. Solid. 4.25
Mouthfeel: Faint gentle carbonation, drinks lighter than the ABV. Lightly dry, bitter. Resinous, darkness the primary takeaway here. Balanced, nice pine dank finish. 4.0
Overall: This is a solid WCIPA, classical flavors, solid enjoyable flavors, well done. Will revisit when given the chance. 4.25
