473 ml can served cold into a beer mug. Durand purchase. Canned December 7, 2022.
Appearance - Super hazy and turbid yellowy/white brew. Some sediment floats into the glass. Nearly two fingers of rocky white head. Some frothy lacing stays behind.
Smell - Lots of fruity notes, with a hint of weediness. Passionfruit and guava, lemon zest and orange pith, possible of kiwi and a hint of strawberry. The weediness precedes the fruity notes.
Taste - Some fruitiy sweetness, passionfruit and guava again, peach, strawberry and kiwi again. Banana might be there for a fleeting moment too. Then goes kind of bitter with hop oils and weediness with a tiny bit of boozy sharpness. Sprinkle some lemon zest and it makes for a nice contrast,
Mouthfeel - Fairly full bodied, with a big juicy body that finishes dry. Feel is creamy with low carbonation but then a prickly sensation kicks in at the end.
Overall - Loads of flavor, huge depth of flavor and a great feel, the great ratings do in fact do this awesome beer justice and while only three weeks into the new year, this is an early favorite for best new beer (to me) of 2023.
