On tap at Culaccino Bar + Kitchen. Served into a tulip.
Appearance - Brilliant pale yellowy gold turbid hazy color. Shade is best described as some sort of pastel color. A finger of light and frothy white head sits on top. Medium retention and some sparse lacing. Appearance-wise this is definitely NEIPA style.
Smell - Citrusy leaning towards sweeter fruits of mango and lychee with some cantaloupe. A faint smokiness mixed in.
Taste - Almost exactly like the nose with increased intensity. Lychee and cantaloupe sweetness are pleasant, Just enough hop bitterness to keep it balanced and a subtle smokiness lingers in behind. Really yummy.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied and a little stickier than many IPA's. Carbonation is moderately light.
Overall - My first experience with this new brewery certainly did not disappoint. High recommended. For those looking for a sweeter IPA with lychee and cantaloupe focus followed by a smoky undertone, you will absolutely love Glow Cloud.
