I had this and it was a good try. But was not spectacular. Glad I can memorize it.

I’ve read some less than stellar reviews for this in the past which is surprising as Barncat is usually excellent. We shall see.
Pours a deep black/brown with moderate head that dissipates to thin film fairly quickly.
Wood, fig, prune and a slight boozy note on the nose. A little red Twizzler in behind it all.
Muted flavours. A little coffee, slight smokiness, some of that stewed fruit from the nose. No barrel at all. A little drying as well.
Body is rather thin.
I can understand the reviews. This is a rare miss from Barncat for me.
