Pours a bright golden yellow color. Hazy and opaque. Effervescent. Thick frothy white head dissipates disappointingly quickly.
Smell has notes of wheat, straw, corn, and a touch of sweetness. Simple but pleasing.
Taste has notes of wheat, straw and a hit of corn, but not overpoweringly so. Very grainy flavor with a hint of sweetness, but in no way "sweet". Ever so slight touch of hops on the back end, but mostly malty. Dry finish.
Feel is very light and crisp. Medium carbonation provides a slight tingle on the tongue. Very smooth feel on the beer. Lovely warm weather beer.
Overall one of the better American made Helles lagers I've had. They've done a great job capturing the wheat and malts without being overly sweet like so many American made Helles.
