Pours a cloudy somewhat hazy dark orange tinged golden color. Thin white head dissipates steadily leaving just a partial layer of foam on top of the beer.
Aroma has notes of sweet bread and wheat. Very malty with nothing in the way of hops on the nose.
Taste is very malty and bready up front with a touch of sweetness. Malts are slightly toasted, with a hint of honey. Almost no hop bitterness at all. Just a hint of spicy earthiness more yeasty in character.
Feel is most remarkable for the lively carbonation in this. Medium to fuller bodied. Mostly dry finish.
Overall this is a hard beer to pin down. Its quite helles-esque with its malt character. However, its not really a helles lager. All that being said, its a very tasty - easy drinking beer. I kind of hope this makes its way into the regular lineup.
