32 ounce fresh crowler into a tulip snifter. Had on 5/16/19.
Pours near black, opaque, with a one inch foamy head and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of strong coffee, chocolate, malt, some smoke, raisins, a little toffee, a hint of licorice. The taste is also starts with lots of coffee, then chocolate, malt, caramel, raisins, a little smoke, light caramel. Smooth, a good full body, well carbonated, but not as creamy as the original.
While not quite as good as the original, still one of the better Baltic Porters you’ll run across. The coffee is strong and excellent, but blends really well with the base. Very enjoyable.
