Red Raspberries blended with a dark wheat beer (brings a nice hint of chocolate).

Pours a dark ruddy brown color. Opaque and somewhat "chunky" for lack of better term. There is clearly fresh fruit in this beer as opposed to just fruit flavoring. Thick pillowy pink-tinged off-white head collapses steadily leaving just a thin layer of foam on top of the beer. Lots of sticky lacing coats the glass as the beer is consumed.
Aroma is unbelievably delicious and kind of a surprise given what I was anticipating. Its dominated by fresh raspberry puree and preserves. But kind of coating that aroma is a dry cocoa and dark chocolate aroma that gives you this lovely chocolate raspberry theme. The depth and brightness of the aroma is somewhat surprising for a 4.5% beer.
The taste is more along the lines of what I expected for this beer. There are light notes of raspberries, not sweet - fresh, with some wheat malt notes providing a nice backbone with some light cocoa notes. Overall the flavors are quite light and mild. Nothing is particularly strong or assertive in the profile.
Feel is light, smooth, almost creamy. Bright carbonation. drier finish.
Overall a nice beer. I do not mean this as a knock, but this beer reminds me so much of the kind of craft beer you'd get on tap at a place 10 or 15 years ago - an easy drinking, fruited wheat ale. Nothing to seek out, but an beer to enjoy.
