A beautiful English Pale, you don't see these much and rarely on draft. It's got an incredible tea color with an earthy caramel toffee flavor - then it gets finished of by subtle hops. Really great beer to break away from the standard hoppy craze (but I do love hoppy!)

Brewed exclusively for Bud & Marilyn's restaurant in Center City Philadelphia
Appearance: Arrives tea colored with very little head (though I think that was the bartender's pour) but it did leave a respectable amount of lacing
Smell: Fruity and earthy, with caramel tones underpinning
Taste: Caramel and stone fruit flavors forward, with earthy hop tones building through the middle; after the swallow, the sweetness from the malts interplayed seamlessly with the fruity yeast esters and the earthy hops
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: It has been so long since I have had an English Pale Ale I almost forgot what they tasted like and, to get a fresh, well-brewed sample from a domestic craft brewer is rarer still; this is a very nice beer and really complements the comfort food on the menu at Bud & Marilyn's
