Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a slightly hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some citrus. Taste is also mild, citrus, pineapple. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a mediocre beer.

On tap at Romas in Pottsville pa last evening.
Decent look, only slightly hazy, some fruit on the nose. On tasting, it's pretty generic, though there is a slight aftertaste.

Notes via stream of consciousness: You can definitely smell the Galaxy hops in here. Pour it, sit it on the table in front of you, and stand over it. It's citrusy and tropical with an edge of grassiness and herbs. That's not to say that it's a super bright aroma, it's not, just that the hops are clear. There's some malt there as well but mostly I get hops. It's a very hazy golden in color beneath a finger's width of white foam. The taste delivers more specific notes than the aroma and it's clearly got a one-two punch of passionfruit and peach followed by soft citrus (orange, lemon), pineapple, and a light edge of grassiness, herbs, and pine. The malt is lightly sweetish and delicately bready but that allows the hops to come through mroe clearly, and it works because the bitterness is restrained. It finishes mainly dry with candyish citrus, grassiness, an edge of mint, and subtle pine lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp-then-smooth across the tongue. I've got to give them props for delivering another solid and highly quaffable IPA. Nicely done.

Hazy bronze off white head. Smells of passion fruit and pineapple. This beer is on the sweet side. It does have a bite but the carbonation is low and it doesn't cut through. I think it is OK.

It really doesn't look at all like a NEIPA, nor a hazy beer. In a clear pint glass, after being drawn from a tap, it's a lightly colored bright copper-amber. Not even close to hazy, this is nearly translucent. Was this a beer mislabeled? There's a modest white head along for the ride and it seems to be enduring. The aroma is mostly of muted hops, characteristic of many hazies. Maybe a little piney, with a citrus note, but definitely, this isn't a pungent ale. The taste is sweet, almost too sweet for any IPA. The bigger problem is that all the malt seems to provide to the taste is that shallow sweetness. There's no bready or earthy extra layer to be found. As the nose knows, this is a well tempered hopping. They might be piney, they might be citrusy, or a combination. What they really are is muted, softened to the extent that it's almost moot. Despite all the negatives, this is an enjoyable beer. Obviously, it's not outstanding, but even considering the flaws, it drinks nicely. The balance, however slight the character, is good, so it's not too sweet, nor hoppy. Other than the softened characteristics, there's no reason to believe this is a New England IPA. A forthcoming revisit at another location, or in bottle or can will be necessary to determine that.
