Yards Brewing Co. "Barrel Aged Sour"
$8/pint on tap at the brewery on 29 August 2022
Notes: Red wine barrel aged. The body is a hazy amber-orange in color beneath a short head of white that has limited retention and evnetually fades away leaving no lacing behind. The aroma is mainly of Brettanomcyes and oak with notes of leather, straw, some horse blanket, and wine. The flavor adds sourness, a touch of cherry, some pineapple, apple, and grainy and sweet malt. No bitterness is noted but the acidity and oak lead it to a dry finish. Medium-light in body with a moderate carbonation. Quite impressive!
